About

I'm Julie, an Independent Graphic Artist who has been in the industry for almost three decades and worked with companies and organizations all over the U.S., including overseas.

I have a specialization in identity and brand design, but have the ability to take care of all print and digital design needs.

One of my biggest passions in life is design. I absolutely love what is capable with ink, paint, a blank piece of paper, and the challenge of making what people see through design continually breathtaking. I have a simple, modern, elegant, and fun style to my designs as well as a business, marketing, and strategy mind to make sure that every piece is perfect for that specific person, target market, and industry.

Background & Education Story

I was born and raised in beautiful Colorado and still live here today. But I’ve lived and traveled in places all over the world allowing me to fall in love with other cultures and adventure.

I have a BA in Marketing with an emphasis in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin - Parkside. I graduated from there in 2002, but actually started studying Graphic Design in 1994 at the Denver School of Arts & Technology, a school that unfortunately no longer exists. I learned Photoshop 1, Adobe Illustrator 3, and the original pen and ink techniques from the previous and lost generation of talented designers.

After technical school is where my world travels began, and when I also lived in Vienna, Austria while traveling around Europe. Shortly after, I began freelance designing. It was a fun side job for me at first, yet it was the late-1990’s, and a crazy time in the graphic design industry. It was the years when websites were brand new, needed to be designed, and no one really knew how to go about designing them. That’s when I saw an opportunity to head back to school. I attended the University of Wisconsin - Parkside for my Business Marketing degree and of course to take all the “newly offered” Graphic Design classes I could. It was then that I realized that my wheelhouse was in print design.

Today my journey has led me to my passion of helping companies have a cohesive and sharp brand so they can be the business they want to be and were meant to be.
