About
HELLO! I’m Julie Bohler, Brand Identity Graphic Designer and the creative behind Julie Bohler Designs. I’ve been at this for almost 30 years (crazy, right?) and have had the joy of working with businesses across the U.S., and even across the pond.
From the start, I knew I’d run my own business...I’ve always had that entrepreneurial spark. These days, I help small and mid-sized businesses level up their look with everything from digital to print design. But my true sweet spot? Brand identity. Nothing makes me happier than creating visuals that feel exactly like the business they represent, while making their audience stop and say, “Yes, that’s it!”
Design isn’t just my career, it’s my passion. Give me ink, paint, or a blank screen, and I’m in my happy place. I love the challenge of transforming ideas into visuals that are fresh, modern, elegant, and infused with a touch of whimsical fun, all while staying strategically aligned with each client’s goals, audience, and industry.
Background & Education Story
I was born and raised in beautiful Colorado (yep, still here!) but I’ve also had the joy of living and traveling all over the world. Along the way, I’ve fallen in love with new cultures, new food, and a whole lot of adventurous exploring.
I earned my BA in Marketing with an emphasis in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin–Parkside in 2002, but my design journey started way earlier. Back in 1994, I was studying at the Denver School of Arts & Technology (a school that, sadly, no longer exists). That’s where I first got my hands on Photoshop 1, Illustrator 3, and of course, the classic pen-and-ink techniques passed down from the “old school” generation of designers.
After technical school I spent time living in Vienna, Austria, while bouncing around Europe, and somewhere between schnitzel and sketchbooks, I started freelancing. At first it was just a side gig, but it was the late 90s, when websites were brand new and nobody really knew what they were doing (wild times for design!). That’s when I saw an opportunity to head back to school, dive into business marketing, and scoop up every new graphic design class I could. It was there that I discovered my true sweet spot: print design and branding.
Fast-forward to today, and that journey has brought me to what I love most, helping businesses elevate their brands. I have a passion for helping small and mid-sized companies build cohesive, sharp brands that let them step confidently into who they are and who they’re meant to be.
